Raid 10 rebuild time. I haven't .

Raid 10 rebuild time. I created the array (Raid 10, 6x2tb sata Dell certificate WDC WD2003FYYS-18W0B0 drives) Friday night around 11pm, choosing fast init so I could start using the array while it was initializing. This probability is usually small compared to the first calculation, but can become significant. My new drive arrived today, so I'm in the process of rebuilding it now. Instead of replacing the drive itself I decided to go the route of recreating the array instead of rebuilding. As a general guideline, rebuild times should be in the range of 2-4 hours per TB for most RAID 5 arrays. Don't do RAID 5 with large disks unless you have the data backed up and plan to do a wipe and restore instead of a rebuild. Copying 3TB is not fast, especially if those are not super fast drives. Sep 30, 2023 · In summary, RAID rebuild times can vary greatly depending on the RAID level, drive size, system load, drive interface, and other factors. Jan 29, 2020 · Team, I had one of my drives fail in my RAID 10 array last week. Something is wrong if you are over 24 hours on a idle system with even slow 3TB drives at 5400. opv 2h0z3t v9pyo mjzk2 bldfh bwcit ncsr n5ubmf lyd wa
